Literature Review! Recognizing the critical role of neighborhoods as the front-line in sustainable cities, many initiatives have been undertaken to create sustainable neighborhood developments, and several tools have been developed to assess and rate the sustainability performance of these developments. In developing countries, even though several reports highlight the failures of sustainability [1], no research has been conducted on multiple developments and their performance using specific assessment and rating systems, especially in Myanmar. Sharifi [5] stated that to fulfill the role of facilitator, the indicators must be integrated (cover multiple issues and consider the linkages between them) [6], forward looking (inter-generational equity), distributional (intra-generational equity), developed with input from multiple stakeholders (procedural equity) [6, 7], and context-specific. Hey! I'd like to share one interesting story from the book entitled ''The OOZE'' by Kyle Maclauhlan. My hero is a college student, an ordinary one, you know what said it is always busy but actually it is lazy. Although he is living in a apartment very close to the his college, he doesn't clean his apartment very often. Can you imagine that would be dirty socks, dirty dishes and might more other dirty things in everywhere. Before his new roommate arrival, he needs to clean his apartment especially the bathroom. While cleaning there, he found something a strange one, ooze. It is like chocolate pudding with the size of hand but the color is green. He tried to clean it out surprisingly, but, it is alive. Mingalarpar! I am Theingi Shwe, from Myanmar, and now studying in the third year of doctoral course. In Kumamoto University, I belong to the department of architecture and environment planning. I was working as an Associate Professor at the department of architecture, Yangon Technological University specializing in the fields of Sustainable Architecture, Myanmar Traditional Architecture and Disaster Mitigation Planning. Recognizing the importance of neighborhoods as the front lines in the battle for sustainability, I am focusing on the international well known neighborhood sustainability assessment tools within the contexts of Developing Countries currently in I.H.O. Lab.   So later on, I am planning to conduct several researches for the future sustainable path of way e specially on Myanmar.
